my parents are looking for a new computer but they don’t know which brand to get. I recommended Dell and Toshiba (which i have). I heard HPs are not the best because of insurance and quality purposes, is that so? My parents barely know microsoft so a mac is out of the question because it would be like re-learning everything all over again and trust me they are not very patient people.

I have an old laptop that is no longer used. We purchased another as the battery was constantly dying on the other(You had to keep it plugged in or it was dead in less than a minute). Anyway i think it had viruses on it as it was very slow/lagging. Is it possible that viruses could steal/obtain personal info. even now that the computer is dead, and no longer used?

I want to buy a laptop with the specs similar to that of the HP Pavilion dv4 series laptop. Which brand do you suggest buying? Toshiba, Dell, or HP? Also, do you have any idea when will these manufacturers release their laptops with Windows 7 OS?

Currently, my partner says she needs to have a MAC because her personal computer died. She wants our business to purchase the MAC using business credit.

I explained that I understand her need for a computer to do her work, she is a graphic designer, but now is not a good time why?
1. The business has just started and we have little no equity/ revenue as it stands now.
2. There are underlying issue that are not yet resolved, like marketing to plan, how we get clients, our operating system.
3. We currently have no client in our pipeline to justify the expense. So if we did get this computer right now, there maybe no clients to do work for.
My suggestion was to set a revenue goal around the computer purchase but she doesn’t want to do this.
